Teaching Partner
Post title: Teaching Partner with SEND experience
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st August 2025. Full-time (8:35-15:20, Monday-Friday, term time only), 31.25 hours per week (comprised of 28.75 hours as Teaching Partner and 2.5 hours as Lunchtime Supervisor)
Salary:
Teaching Partner role is paid according to the National Joint Council salary scale at grade 4, point 7-10 (depending on experience), the full-time equivalent of which is £25,584-£26,835.
Lunchtime Supervisor role is paid according to the National Joint Council salary scale at grade 2, point 3, the full-time equivalent of which is £24,027.
We are looking for someone who:
· Can form positive and caring relationships with all children and work effectively as a member of a strong team.
· Contributes to the ethos and wider community of the school.
· Demonstrates sound knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculums and their assessment procedures.
· Possesses excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
· Demonstrates a passion for teaching and learning in the indoor and outdoor learning environments.
· Has knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND, including scaffolding learning for children with Special Educational Needs.
· Has experience of working with children who have complex communication and interaction needs.
· Understands young children’s communication and uses effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly.
· Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous.
· Motivates our young children to be increasingly independent and confident as they learn and grow.
· Shares our commitment to continuing professional development.
